This is the kind of mom I aspire to become -- picking up her daughter in the middle of school to go shopping for sleeping bags, bringing lonely folks home for dinner every week, and talking about ideas instead of about other people.
When I need to be reminded that this mom business is really meaningful -- and manageable -- I visit The Happiest Mom. Blogger Meagan Francis's mission is to snap us out of the predominantly negative cultural conversation about motherhood with incisive posts like "Happy Marriage Advice From A Previously Divorced Mom" and "The Epidemic of 'I’m So Busy-Itis'." As the ladies at church say when the preaching's good: "I know that's right."
