1. I am utterly inspired by the Mignot Sisters, featured in
Gypset Style
. These gorgeous French sisters and their tanned, feral surf children live in a matrilineal clan in Sayulita, Mexico. I've been emailing photos from their
website to my sister for her wedding inspiration board. (Don't you think that the wedding's location in the Mexican-y beach town where we grew up is sufficient justification for me, as the matron of honor, to wear one of these dresses?) I also covet the Tahitian pearl and leather cord jewelry they make. I wonder if I can DIY my own Mignot sisters necklace.
2.
Excuses by The Morning Benders. Song, you are
so getting danced to at S-Factor.

3. Tunics. I don't think I have ever owned a tunic, but I'm about to -- S. told me last night that he thinks they are shagalicious and that I would look great in one.
4. I love
Mrs. Lilien's Styling House, a favorite blog of Jonathan Adler that I just discovered this morning. Her
7 Persuasions are totally life-affirming and it warms my heart that somewhere in the world, a woman is at the supermarket in leopard and sparkles.

Color Me Beautiful!
Motivated by Simon Doonan, who paid homage
here, I recently unearthed this sacred tome of my forebears (aka the aunts who insisted, confoundingly, that they could
only wear "jewel tones"). Now that I know I'm a Winter....
it all makes sense. That I can wear mint green, that I look great in navy and all black, that rust and chartreuse and what my mom lovingly calls "earth tones" make me look awful. My only regret is that I waited so long to discover my true identity. Stop me before I order a fabric swatch packet.
