Crazy Rainbow People

My sister's fiance showed us the famous Double Rainbow Guy video on New Year's Eve.  I had never seen it.  We all laughed as the guy enthused and extased over the rainbow, weeping and laughing for three minutes.

Today on our drive home, a rainbow appeared right over the 101.  I reminded S. of the clip and said that if we really had any idea what went into making a rainbow, or a wave, or a fingerprint, or a redwood, our minds would be so blown we'd go around like the rainbow guy all the time, laughing and weeping and stunned with wonderment.  We pointed the rainbow out to the kids in the backseat.

"We can see both ends of it," said S.  "We're right in the middle of it! Oh my God!"

"Daddy, don't say that," Liv intoned.  "We only say 'God' if we actually want to talk to God."

"You're right, Liv," said S.  "I'm gonna talk to God. God, thank you for making this awesome rainbow."

Just then, a double rainbow appeared, and we found ourselves laughing like crazy people.
