During lambing season and party season, I dress my daughter like this:
Well, I do in my fantasy life, where I'm Papo d'Anjo's best customer. Papo d'Anjo is a Portugal-based maker of beautiful, classic children's clothing owned by drop-dead fabulous preppy expat Catherine Monteiro de Barros. I don't know whether I'll make it to a Papo trunk show anytime soon, but I will be trolling the surprising unsnotty blog for inspiration (for myself as much as for my kids -- is it weird that I want to be a Papo d'Anjo child?)
2. Chanel Morning Rose Nail Polish
I painted some on my pinky at Nordstrom's and was shocked at how pretty it was. In the bottle, it looked like a fun retro melon. On my skin, it's the perfect shell pink. Time to roll the dice on the home mani/pedi again! Wish me luck.
3. xoJane.com
XOJane launched Monday and is kind of the 2.0 version of Sassy and Jane magazines. A blast of fresh air to fling the windows open and let all the stuffy, how-to-please-everyone-but-yourself voices of most women's magazines be blasted out of your head. I've visited multiple times a day since they launched.
4. Robin McKinley
I loved her books Deerskin
5. Ruth Reichl's lipstick
Ruth Reichl is looking smokin' hot on the new Gilt Taste site, and I'm on a mission to find that shimmery pink lipstick she's wearing. So far, Chantecaille's LipChic in China Rose is a pretty close match on me.
